Why do Danish foundations award scholarships to students?
For many years, Fundraising.how has studied Danish foundations and grant-makers disbursements of scholarships to students and advised students on scholarship applications. In 2017, we conducted a study of Danish foundations' motivations for awarding grants to students. We found that foundations have very different interests in providing support, and that among the 15,000 Danish foundations, there were some foundations that were particularly trendsetting in student grants.
